Linfield men's basketball junior
Garrett Callsen earned the final Northwest Conference Men's Basketball Athlete of the Week honors of the season after leading the 'Cats to a pair of wins last weekend.

The Stayton, Oregon, native averaged 19 points and nine rebounds per game, helping Linfield take down Lewis & Clark and George Fox. Callsen shot an impressive 65% from the field and went 2-3 from beyond the arc. Aiding his conference-best 59.5% field goal percentage this season, also ranking No. 28 in Division III.

Callsen's season was capped off by a 24 point performance in a dominant 94-70 win over George Fox in Newberg. The junior shot 10-14 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc while grabbing nine rebounds. He also averaged 2.5 offensive rebounds in the two wins.

Men's basketball (10-14, 8-8 NWC) finished the season in fifth in the Northwest Conference, missing out on postseason play by one game. The Wildcats 10 wins was the team's highest since 2022-23 and eight NWC wins were the most since 2021-22, all in head coach
Elijah Gurash's first season at the head of the program.
