Senior midfielder
Lize Rendon earned Linfield womens soccer's first Northwest Conference weekly honor of the season after a strong showing in last weekend's pair of games as home. Rendon score two goals and added an assist in two games last weekend, including an impressive late strike against Redlands that earned the 'Cats keeper an assist.
The senior from Portland, Oregon, proved to be a force off of the bench for the team in their first home action of the season, leading the team in scoring in a 2-0 weekend. The team remains unbeaten (2-0-2) through non-conference play, and heads into their first NWC match of the season this weekend in Forest Grove, set to face the Pacific Boxers.
Rendon made a strong case for a larger role in the Wildcats offense going forward, looking to continue a strong start to the season against upcoming NWC foes.
