The Northwest Conference office announced their weekly Fall sports awards on Monday afternoon, landing Linfield women's soccer their second consecutive week with a Wildcat honoree.
Senior defender
Jenna Stanley notched the second-half equalizer last Saturday in a 1-1 draw against Whitman, while headlining a defense that has earned a conference-high four shutouts this season.
Stanley's header helped the 'Cats remain unbeaten through eight games this season, a streak that hasn't been seen within the program since the 2013 season. The Linfield back line ranks third in the NWC in goals allowed, but has helped goalkeeper
Alexa Fritz record a conference-best four shutouts this season.
Women's soccer looks to keep the unbeaten streak alive this week, hosting Willamette at 5 p.m. on Wednesday night, before heading to Tacoma, Washington, to take on Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran in a weekend double header.
