Women's lacrosse program seeks new coach following Dalsey's departure

Linfield University women's lacrosse coach Sarah Dalsey has announced her resignation after three seasons, vice president and director of athletics Scott Brosius said Monday.

Dalsey is leaving Linfield to accept a head coaching position at Mary Washington University, an NCAA Division III program located in Fredricksburg, Virginia.

"I'm sad to announce that Sarah will be leaving Linfield. I appreciate the time, effort, and dedication she gave to our lacrosse program. While I'm disappointed to see her move on, it represents a tremendous opportunity for her and her family. We wish her nothing but the best moving forward."

Dalsey guided Linfield to an 8-8 overall record in 2025 and the program's first berth in the Northwest Conference postseason tournament. The Wildcats finished in a three-way tie for fourth place in the NWC regular-season standings.

Brosius said a search for a successor will begin immediately, adding that "We look forward to having our new leader in place soon."
