In a release by the Northwest Conference Monday afternoon, Claire Seats was announced as the conference's softball player Student-Athlete of the Week. Seats is the first player this season to receive the award in back-to-back weeks.
 
The senior from Seattle has been dominant at the plate all season long for Linfield, batting .500 while also drilling a conference-high 10 home runs and 38 RBI. She also leads the NWC in runs (30), total bases (80) and doubles (10).
 
In last weeks' series against Puget Sound, Seats went 8-of-13 at the plate, launching two homers and driving in eight runs as Linfield swept the Loggers with two of those wins coming by way of run-rule.
 
Seats is majoring in management while at Linfield and looks to propel the Wildcats into a deep postseason run as the season presses on.
