As the Northwest Conference expanded to nine teams in 2025, the NWC Tournament returns for its third iteration at Austin Sports Complex in Newberg starting Friday. George Fox's 8-0 conference record earned the Bruins hosting rights for the third straight year where they'll face off against Linfield in the first round Friday at 4 p.m. followed by a battle between Willamette and Whitman battle in the other semifinal matchup at 7 p.m.
The semifinal winners square off Sunday at 1 p.m. with the winner earn the NWC's automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament.

NO. 4 LINFIELD (8-7, 4-4 NWC)
With eight wins on the season, Linfield has racked up its most wins in a season of third-year head coach
Sarah Dalsey's tenure. To close the regular season, Linfield found itself in a three-way tie with Lewis & Clark and Whitworth but was able to secure the tiebreaker and appear in the first Northwest Conference Tournament in program history.
Gabby Crist has captained the Wildcats in her junior season as she leads the team in goals (59), points (78) and caused turnovers (33). Crist scored the program's second-most goals in a game (10) twice this season as she put together an all-conference level season. Senior
Maya Wright took a big step forward this spring as well, netting 32 goals and stands among the leaders in draw controls with 4.20 per match. Wright also ranks fifth in program history for draw controls in a career, showcasing her all-around abilities. Junior goalkeeper
Tenley Hodge has totaled 748 minutes in net and holds a .387 save percentage to go along with 82 saves. The Wildcats enter the NWC Tournament as an underdog but look to make history and hand George Fox its first conference loss this season.
NO. 1 GEORGE FOX (12-4, 8-0 NWC)
The Bruins have held a firm grasp on the Northwest Conference since the conference introduced women's lacrosse as a league sanctioned sport in 2015. During that time span, George Fox has won eight NWC championships, two NWC Tournament title and just four conference losses. Lana Davis and Ava Bluhm lead the way offensively with 47 and 44 goals, respectively while Davis also has 24 assists and Bluhm registers 50 draw controls on the season, boosting herself to fifth in program history with 155 career draw controls. Morgan Maxfield is the team's top distributor with 25 assists, ranking fifth in the NWC. As a team, the Bruins hold a 6.5 goal margin and have netted 257 goals this season on a .484 shot percentage. Their defense is tenacious with 220 caused turnovers and 370 ground balls while Mayh Pack stands tall in goal with 110 saves, and a .418 save percentage. George Fox is a favorite to win the tournament once again and its sights set on the national tournament.
NO. 2 WHITMAN (12-4, 7-1 NWC)
After falling to George Fox in the first round a season ago, the Blues aim to claim their first-ever NWC Championship after losing just one conference match in 2025. Whitman owns to be the conference's toughest defense, holding opponents to just 7.9 goals per contest and leads the conference with a 7.1 scoring margin. Sarah Hawkins stands out for the Blues with 53 goals and 43 assists, ranking among the NWC leaders in both categories and ranking second in points at 96, third-most in a season in Whitman program history. Joy Olson-Uderitz has been a defensive pest all season, causing 28 turnovers and recovering 56 ground balls. Renn Novak has racked up 932 minutes, totaling 105 saves and a .455 save percentage to lead the conference. Whitman has reached the conference tournament the previous two seasons but the Blues have yet to find a path to the championship match.
NO. 3 WILLAMETTE (9-6, 7-1 NWC)
The Bearcats are coming off back-to-back second-place finishes in the conference and are hungry to break through as a force to be reckoned with in the NWC. Willamette excels as a defensive team, allowing just 152 goals this season, second-fewest in the Northwest Conference and have been elite in woman-down situations, netting 10 goals while playing at a disadvantage. Claire Kisielnicki tops the conference leaderboard in goals with 66 this season, closing in on the Willamette single season record of 70. Lily Bachiochi is the do-it-all player for the Bearcats with 53 goals, a conference-leading 45 assists and 98 points. She is Willamette's career leader in points and assists and looks to propel her team to yet another championship appearance. Olivia Austin remains the primary goalkeeper and enters the tournament with 80 saves to go along with an impressive .388 save percentage.
