Linfield softball's undefeated conference campaign is garnering national attention, with three Wildcats earning spots on the 2025 NFCA Division III Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist. Linfield has a history with these awards as
Tayah Kelley won NFCA Pitcher of the Year a season ago.
Â
Senior outfielder
Claire Seats, senior second baseman
Brynn Nelson and sophomore pitcher
Tyler McNeley were all selected to the prestigious list, which recognizes standout student-athletes across 10 regions in Division III.
Â
Seats has been a force at the plate all season, boasting a .493 batting average with 33 hits, including seven doubles and a team-high eight home runs. She leads the Wildcats with 29 RBI and a .955 slugging percentage.
Â
Nelson, a consistent presence in the middle of the lineup, is hitting an even .500 through 18 games, recording 33 hits and 25 RBI. Her .636 slugging percentage and reliable .972 fielding percentage at second base have been crucial in Linfield's 16-2 overall start and 6-0 Northwest Conference mark.
Â
In the circle, McNeley has been the ace for the Wildcats. The sophomore right-hander holds a 10-1 record with a 3.19 ERA over 68 innings pitched. She's struck out 65 batters and walked just 10 while limiting opponents to a .247 batting average.
Â
With their standout seasons continuing, McNeley, Nelson and Seats have firmly placed Linfield on the national radar as the Wildcats pursue another deep postseason run.
