Four members of the Linfield University women's basketball team have been recognized for their combined excellence in the classroom and on the court, earning spots on the 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
Juniors
Miki Vermeulen,
Amelia Solt and
Jayden Ray along with sophomore
Allie Mead each received the academic honor following standout seasons for the Wildcats, who finished 19-7 overall and 10-6 in Northwest Conference play.
Vermeulen, a junior forward, averaged 9.7 points and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 45.1% from the field. Known for her consistency and toughness, she started all 26 games and was one of Linfield's most versatile players.
Mead ranked second on the team in minutes played and led the conference in assists. She averaged 10.5 points and 4.2 assists per game, and looks to build on a successful second season.
Solt, a junior wing, topped the team in minutes played with 855 while scoring 9.8 points per game. A reliable perimeter threat, she led the team with 42 made three-pointers. Solt also passed out 66 assists.
Ray came off the bench in all 25 of her appearances and provided key contributions in critical moments. She averaged 2.7 points per game while also chipping in 14 steals and 11 assists during the season.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must participate in at least 90 percent of their team's games and maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District honorees now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, with Academic All-America recipients to be announced on April 16.
