The Linfield University Softball Program is conducting two instructional All-Skills Fastpitch clinics for girls ages 8-18 on January 18 and January 24, 2026.
All clinic instruction will be provided by the coaches and players of the Linfield University Wildcats, one of the most consistently successful softball programs in the country. Since 2004, the Linfield University softball program has compiled 18 Northwest Conference Championships, 20 trips to the NCAA Playoffs, 17 National Top 15 Finishes, and an overall record of 834-172-2. Â
Â
The 2025 team finished 3
rd at the NCAA Division III World Series after posting a 45-7 season record. The Wildcats set the all-time NCAA Division III record for Homeruns in a season with 108. Of the 413 teams playing NCAA Division III softball in 2025, Linfield led the entire country in Homeruns (108), Hits (572), Runs Scored (9.1 Runs per Game), and Slugging Percentage (.695) while also ranking 2nd nationally in Batting Average (.395), 2nd in Doubles (102), 2nd in On-Base Percentage (.461) and 6th in Shutouts (17).
Each clinic will stress the skills and fundamentals that are necessary to be successful at any level of competition. The skills covered will include hitting, bunting, baserunning, and fundamental defensive play for infield and outfield. There will also be time for pitchers and catchers to learn from the Wildcat coaches and pitching staff.
For girls ages 13-18 both clinics will also feature a post-clinic talk about developing success skills on and off the softball field and a question and answer session where clinic attendees can ask Linfield coaches and players questions about college and the softball recruiting process.
