| By:
LAKE OSWEGO, Ore. --- Linfield men's golf finished the Fall portion of their 2025-26 schedule on Monday afternoon at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic, finishing in third place as a team.

Freshman Owen Irving led the Wildcats from wire to wire, starting his tournament with four birdies in the first nine holes to shoot a one-under 35. He finished his opening round with a string of 10-consecutive pars. Irving closed the tournament on Monday with a four-over 75 to drop one spot into 4th place individually.

Brody Landaker opened with a 39 on the front on Sunday, and quickly rebounded with a four-birdie back nine to fire and even-par 71. Although he closed his first Fall season with a 77, the freshman carded a top-ten finish. Douglas Bailey shot rounds of 72 and 76 to tie pace Landaker for the tournament, also notching a top-ten.

Ryder Ng was consistent for the 'Cats throughout, with rounds of 76, 76, he finished alone in 26th; moving up two spots in the final round. Senior Kellen Hudson rounded out the lineup two rounds of 79 and 80 to take 39th.

The team began in second after the opening-round 289, but dropped one spot to third with a 304 on Monday. Willamette cleared the field by nine strokes to take home the team title, while Mason Remington of Whitman claimed medalist honors.

Men's golf now enjoys a few months away from competition before returning for the Spring schedule in 2026, looking to make a run at an NWC title.
