After suffering their first loss of the season to George Fox, Linfield (10-1, 1-1 NWC) hopes to get right this weekend in Tacoma when it takes on Pacific Lutheran (3-8, 0-2 NWC) who is coming off two straight losses to Whitworth and Whitman before a matchup with Puget Sound (2-9, 1-1 NWC) who recently lost to Whitman then secured its first conference win of the season against Whitworth.

Despite the loss last week, The Wildcats still stand among the top of most major statistical categories. They rank second in scoring margin (12.4), field goal percent (44.8%) and opponent field goal percent (35.5%) while ranking first in rebounding margin (11.6), free throw percent shooting (80.7%) and three-point shooting (36.9%).
Gillyan Landis' 13.7 points not only lead the team but also place seventh in the conference. Linfield's utility player,
Miki Vermeulen is third in the NWC in rebounding with 7.9 boards per game while also averaging 9.5 points and 3.1 assists.
Eve Burke continues her outstanding junior season with 11.9 points on 36.7% shooting from behind the arc.

Pacific Lutheran ranks near the bottom of the NWC in scoring margin at -8.4, but defense is a strength for the Lutes. They allow just 58.7 points per contest and hold opponents to 35.6% shooting on the season. Their 3.1 rebounding margin ranks fourth in the conference while also boasting 13.8 offensive rebounds per game. Sydney Reisner directs the teams' scoring efforts with 13.8 points while Stacie Spahr stands tall in the paint with 7.1 rebounds per competition. Kasidy Javernick is the defensive anchor for the Lutes, with 25 steals and two blocks on the season.

Linfield trails Pacific Lutheran 29-51 in the all-time series and are behind 13-26 on the road. Linfield split two games against the Lutes last season, winning at home and losing on the road.
