Wildcats aim to carry momentum to Tacoma

THE RECORDS
Coming off its first conference win of the season, Linfield (4-7, 1-1 NWC) seeks to keep the momentum rolling this weekend during the Tacoma road trip. Pacific Lutheran (4-7, 1-1 NWC) is fresh off a win against nationally ranked Whitworth and a loss to Whitman. The Lutes look to get back in the win column against the Wildcats on Friday night. Puget Sound (5-6, 0-2 NWC) searches for their first conference win of the season and welcomes Linfield to town on Saturday night.
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats have drained 92 three-pointers this season, placing them at fourth place in the NWC. Leading the three-point barrage is Dayton Magaña who is fresh off a 27-point outing against George Fox and is averaging 11.4 points per contest. Cade Collins has come on strong as well for Linfield, leading the team's scoring efforts with 12.2 a game. Cayden Lowenbach has put together a solid senior season, leading the Wildcats in both rebounds (4.4) total blocks (9). Linfield is undefeated when scoring more than 75 points this season and the Wildcats will look to get their offense rolling early this weekend.
 
PACIFIC LUTHERAN AT A GLANCE
The Lutes pride themselves on defense, allowing the third least points per game in the conference at 69.4. They also rank second in rebounding margin with a difference of 5.1 rebounds. Miles Nash stands out for Pacific Lutheran, leading the team in points (12.6), assists (3.6) and steals (1.6). Big man Brandin Riedel anchors the paint for the Lutes, averaging 5.8 boards and shooting the ball at a 61% rate for 10.9 points per game.
 
PUGET SOUND AT A GLANCE
The Loggers have been one of the most efficient teams in the NWC, ranking first in free throw shooting (77.3%) and third in three-point shooting (35.1%). Liam Ruttledge's 12.8 points lead the team while also ranking seventh in the NWC in three-point shooting (37.5%). Defensively, Taj Phillips sits at 17 steals on the season and Hugo Rutherfurd remains a daunting presence in the paint with 18 blocks.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Linfield narrowly leads the all-time series against Pacific Lutheran 56-55 but have lost the last three matchups. On the road, the Wildcats trail the Lutes 16-39 and look to snap a two-game road losing streak in Tacoma.
 
Against Puget Sound, Linfield trails 22-35 in the all-time series. The Wildcats have lost four straight to the Loggers and look to get their first road win since 2021.
