Cheer and Dance to host camp Feb. 21

The Linfield Cheer and Dance Teams, together with the Young Cats Club, are hosting a free Camp and Performance session for girls and boys on Friday, February 21, 2025, in association with two regular-season basketball games at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.

COST: The event is free, and includes admission to the basketball game for all participants, ages 5-12, and up to two accompanying chaperons. Each child will receive a free Young Cats Club t-shirt and autograph book.

TIMES: From 4:30 until 6 p.m., participants will learn and practice a simple cheer and dance routine with the Cheer and Dance Teams before performing it live during halftime of the men's and women's basketball games at approximately 6:40 and 8:40 p.m. Participants are welcome to perform in one or both halftime shows.

Participants should arrive at Ted Wilson Gym by 4:15 p.m. in order to get oriented and begin learning the routine by 4:30. Ted Wilson Gymnasium is located at the corner of Linfield Avenue and Lever Street on the Linfield campus.

The men's basketball game versus Whitman tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the women's game at 8 p.m.

ABOUT THE YOUNG CATS CLUB: The purpose of the Young Cats Club program is to invite area youngsters to experience in person what it's like to interact with college student-athletes and attend a Linfield athletic event. The McMinnville office of True Private Wealth Advisors and Your Space Storage are again sponsoring the Young Cats Club series during the 2024-25 academic year.

Preregistration is encouraged. For more information, contact danceteam@linfield.edu
