Linfield junior guard
Cade Collins has been voted the Northwest Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week in a release on Monday afternoon. Collins came to play in Linfield's two games last weekend against Lewis & Clark and Willamette. The sophomore from Beaverton led the Wildcats in scoring in both games with 24 against the Pioneers and a career-high 28 against the Bearcats. He also contributed to the rebounding efforts with six in each contest.

Collins has also cemented himself among the country's best free-throw shooters this season at 98.1%, the highest percentage among all college basketball players at any division.

A product of Jesuit High School, Collins is majoring in finance and is the son of Cameron and Christine Collins.

Linfield is off to a 6-9 start with a 3-3 conference record. In the most recent game against Willamette, Collins scored a career-high 28 points as he led the Wildcats to a win.
