MCMINNVILLE, Ore. - Linfield finds itself struggling for a Northwest Conference win this season after a 4-0 loss to Whitman Saturday afternoon at the Linfield Soccer Complex.
The first half started out in an offensive shootout with the Wildcats and Blues making significant pushes time and again, putting both goalies in the line of fire. Neither team was able to find the back of the net until Whitman's Jacob Burrill was on the receiving end of a pass from Jude Clum-Stockton and streaked the ball into the goal, giving the Blues a 1-0 lead in the 29
th minute. Whitman would score once more before halftime, taking a 2-0 lead into the break.
The second half was more of the same as Whitworth's Henry Pierce netted two goals to close out the 4-0 victory.
The Linfield attack was a true all-around effort with

Tate Bliss each recording one shot to account for Linfield's 10 shots in the match.
Colby Reese spent all 90 minutes in goal and recorded six saves.
For Whitman, Jossue Tobar, Jacob Burrill and Henry Pierce were the goal scorers while Jude Clum-Stockton kept the pressure on Linfield with three shots of his own.
The Blues' goalkeeping duties were split between Lucas Haigh with one save and Tait Whittemore with two saves.
