Linfield (1-7, 0-4 NWC) is coming off a week where the Wildcats struggled to slow down the opposing offense. In three matches last week, Linfield allowed nine goals and put up two of their own. The 'Cats look to bounce back this week against Whitman (4-1-1, 1-0-1 NWC) at home on Saturday before welcoming Whitworth (3-2-1, 1-0-1 NWC) to McMinnville on Sunday.

The Blues currently sit at the top of the NWC standings in a four-way tie for first. In their two NWC matches this season, the Blues beat Pacific 3-2 then tied George Fox 2-2 on Sunday night. Christian Gomez and Edwin Romero head up the offense for Whitman with seven goals each and the defense is bolstered by Lucas Haigh and Niclas Isensee who both have 10 saves on the season.
 
WHITWORTH AT A GLANCE
The Pirates also find themselves tied for first place in NWC standings with a 1-0-1 conference record. Whitworth is coming off a week where it beat George Fox 1-0 then tied Pacific on Sunday afternoon 0-0. Cole Friesen tops Whitworth with three goals, two of which were decisive match-winners.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Linfield has a back-and-forth history with Whitman as the all-time series sits at 25-27-2 through 54 meetings. Linfield lost both meetings last season and is looking to end a three-match losing streak to the Blues.
 
The Wildcats are hoping to end their six-match losing streak against the Pirates where the all-time series is 12-36-8 in favor of Whitworth. Linfield holds a 7-17-3 record against the Pirates at home.
