Oathout, Taylor set the pace for Linfield at Gator Cross

LAKEWOOD, Wash. – Alex Oathout and Jayden Taylor were the leading finishers for the Linfield Wildcats Saturday at the Green River Gator Cross meet at Fort Steilacoom Park.
 
The event included primarily NCAA Division I and II programs from across the Pacific Northwest.
 
On the men's side, Oathout led the way over the six-kilometer course with a 40th-place finish in 18:36.3. Devin Harrison clocked 19:07.7 to place 62nd, Conner Dooley was 93rd in 20:22.0 and Levi Jones ran 22:32.0 to end in 126th place.
 
The women's race saw Taylor complete the four-kilometer run in 15:26.3 to place 67th. Other Linfield finishers included Saniyah Ayala, 88th in 16:50.0, Leah Stednick, 91st in 16:53.4, and Liberty McElfatrick, 99th in 18:55.0.
 
Neither Wildcat squad fielded the requisite five competitors to receive a team score.

Linfield is idle until Oct. 5 when the Wildcats are scheduled to compete in the Charles Bowles Invitational at Bush's Pasture Park in Salem.
