Welcome Todd Moore 2

Todd Moore joins men's basketball coaching staff

Todd Moore has been hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at Linfield University. He joins second-year coach Levi Sieg's staff for the 2024-25 season.

Moore knew very early on that he was wanted to be a teacher and coach. As a sophomore at Roseburg High School, he began as a YMCA volunteer coach in 1985, while also playing basketball at RHS.

After graduating from Roseburg, he went on to play college basketball at Warner Pacific College where he completed a bachelor's degree in social science in 1994.

After teaching and coaching for nine years, he migrated to toward athletic administration, earning a master's degree in educational leadership at George Fox University before serving as an athletic director for 14 years.

In Moore's nearly three-decade career as a full-time educator, he dedicated himself to helping and developing others in his roles as a teacher, coach, mentor, principal, vice-principal and athletic director.

He has worked with thousands of young men and women in youth camps, travel and all-star teams, individual tutoring, and youth, high school and college coaching. As a head coach or assistant coach, he's led successful teams at every Oregon classification (6A through 1A) as well as at the community college, university, and semi-professional levels.

Moore connection with Linfield's head coach runs deep. He was Sieg's varsity basketball coach at Central High School in Independence.

"Levi was one my all-time favorite players to coach. In 1995-96, in my first year as head coach at Central High School, Levi helped the Panthers to a Capital Conference championship and a sixth-place finish in the OSAA state tournament. Levi went on to be selected to the The Oregonian's first team 1996 All-State Team.

"I am so honored to be invited by Levi to help coach the Wildcats. Linfield is such an amazing university with a great tradition. I'm very proud to serve the university, Coach Sieg, and the young men in the program. We honor the past and believe the future is very bright for Linfield Basketball."

Moore is married to Corina Coste (Linfield '90), an administrator at Blanchet Catholic School in Salem. Their son, James, played basketball and graduated from George Fox University ('24). James currently attends the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.
