SALEM, Ore. - Linfield senior Caitlin Hillman led the Wildcats to a ninth-place finish at the Willamette Valley Cup at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Ore., this past weekend. The Wildcats finished with a final team score of 789. 
 
Hillman was T-29 with a score of 173 over the two days. Behind Hillman was Tori Schuller at 33rd overall with a two-day final score of 178.
 
Sasha Carey finished with a score of 208 and placed 49th while Whitney Averill made her collegiate golf debut and finished 51st with a 230 final score.
 
George Fox secured the team title by shooting 592 which was good for 16 over par. The next closest team was Lewis-Clark State with a final team score of 643 which finished 67 over par. The Bruins also had the top three finishers with Alison Takamiya leading the way with a one-under-par 143 final over the two rounds.

The Wildcats are idle until April 6 when they hit the course again for the NWC Spring Classic.
