WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Linfield men's tennis team was outmatched Friday afternoon by the Colorado College Tigers (2-4), falling 8-1 at Bratton Indoor Tennis Center on the campus of Whitman College.

DOUBLES
Linfield's (1-2) lone win on the day came in the No. 1 doubles match as
Rogue Stone and
Seth Lee beat Colorado's top duo of Dominik Kaminski and Aiden Little 8-5.

Stone and Lee improved to 2-1 on the season as Linfield's No. 1 team.

The Tigers were able to handle the 'Cats through the rest of doubles. The freshman pairing of
Cameron Paulsen and
Haven Hepton fell to Nick Anderson and August Knox 8-3 in the No. 2 flight, and Lucas Pastor and Nate Beerman beat
Alexander Rosenquist and
Matous Young 8-4 in the No. 3 match to set the score at 2-1, Colorado, heading into singles play.

SINGLES
Singles action got off to a hot start for Colorado with Little dispatching Rosenquist 6-0, 6-1 in just 43 minutes to take the No. 3 flight.

In the No. 1 flight Lee put up resistance against a rested Andrew Kaelin, the top seed for the Tigers, but eventually fell 6-3, 6-3. In the No. 2, Stone struggled in the first set but responded with strong effort in the second before eventually falling to Pastor 6-1, 6-4.

Pastor's win clinched the match for Colorado at 5-1.

In the No. 4 flight Paulsen fell 6-4, 6-3 to Jack Delafield, who had also rested through doubles play.

Abhi Acharya had a good response in the second set of the No. 5 flight after going without a win in the first set, but still fell short of forcing a third to lose to Beerman 6-, 6-4.

In the final singles competition Anderson beat Young 6-0, 6-1, setting the final score at 8-1, Colorado.

The Wildcats will return to McMinnville to host Cal Lutheran in a men's and women's doubleheader on Sunday, with double play starting the competition at 10:00.
