Five members of Linfield's men's and women's tennis team were recognized Tuesday for their outstanding achievements in the classroom while participating as a NCAA Division III athlete as members of the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.

Women's team members Samantha Baltz and Sundi King earned Academic All-District recognition while
Alexander Rosenquist,
Joey Henderson and
Nick Owens of the men's team were honored as well.

Recipients of the honor are required to maintain a cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.50 or higher while participating in a minimum of 75 percent of their team's matches over the past season.

Baltz, a junior from Rio Rancho, N.M., holds a 3.86 GPA as a mathematics major. She led Linfield women's tennis with six singles wins this season at the No. 2 spot in the lineup while also playing in 15 matches as a part of the team's top doubles tandem.

King, a sophomore double major in international business and Spanish from Kihei, Hawaii maintains a 3.631 GPA after playing in 18 of 19 matches for the Wildcats in 2026.

On the men's side Owens, from West Linn, Ore., leads the pack with an impressive 3.953 GPA through his junior year as a double major in accounting and finance. A key piece of Linfield's doubles lineup, he participated in 15 matches as part of the team's No. 3 duo with Rosenquist, in addition to playing in one singles contest.

Rosenquist, of Portland, Ore., completes his senior year with a 3.607 GPA as an economics major. He is the only current Wildcat to earn multiple Academic All-District honors after also being recognized as a junior.

An integral piece of Linfield's ladder as well, Rosenquist played in 19 matches in the singles lineup and 15 in the double's lineup.

Henderson rounds out the group, as the senior from New Braunfels, Texas continued to hold a 3.556 GPA as a business management major despite transferring to Linfield this year. Additionally, he was second on the team with seven singles wins while playing in four different lineup spots. His eight doubles wins as part of Linfield's No. 2 tandem were third on the squad.
