NEWBERG, Ore. – Linfield capped off its season in impressive fashion with a dominant 3-0 victory over George Fox on Sunday, securing a well-earned shutout in the final match of the 2024 campaign.

Rae Gerking scored off a beautiful assist from fellow senior
Sidra Griffin, putting the Wildcats up 1-0. Despite several chances from George Fox, including shots from Isabella Kozak and Willa Evans, Linfield goalkeeper
Alexa Fritz was up to the challenge, saving all four shots that came her way.
The second half saw Linfield continue to assert its dominance, doubling its lead in the 65th minute.
Mia Curtaz played a key role, sending a well-timed assist to
Reese Jones, who finished with precision to make it 2-0. The Wildcats weren't finished there, as
Lize Rendon added a third goal in the 83rd minute, ensuring a comfortable victory for Linfield in the finale.
Throughout the match, Linfield's defense stood strong, with contributions from Sophie Pietrok,
Ruby Lacktrup, and
Jenna Stanley, all of whom played the full 90 minutes. Fritz continued her strong performance in goal, registering her eighth clean sheet of the season. The Wildcats also showed discipline, committing only eight fouls, with
Rae Gerking picking up a yellow card in the second half.
Linfield's offense was also dynamic, with 14 shots and 11 on goal. Gerking's goal was her third of the season, while Jones and Rendon each tallied their first in the win.
The 3-0 victory closed out Linfield's season with a record of 5-7-7 overall and 4-7-5 in Northwest Conference play.
