Linfield closes fall season on strong note

CRESWELL, Ore. – In the fifth and final tournament of the 2024 fall season, the Wildcats put on their best showing. Linfield finished second out of nine competing teams in the Tall Timber Invitational hosted by Bushnell at the Emeral Valley Golf Course.
 
Leading the 'Cats was Douglas Bailey who went two over par and carded a 78 on the first day before scoring an impressive 68 on the final day of the tournament for a total of 146, three shots behind first place. Zack LaPlaca also put together an amazing performance, shooting a 151 and tying for fifth place.
 
Emerson Storer placed ninth with a score of 152 while Kellen Hudson tied for 17th with 156. Ryo Kobayashi and Ryder Ng finished at 21st, carding a 157 in their fall finales.
 
Willamette took first place in the tournament shooting a combined 595, 15 shots ahead of Linfield who came in with a score of 610.
 
The Tall Timber Invitational closes an impressive fall season for the Wildcats who now prepare for a competitive spring season in 2025.
