WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose to attend Linfield because I saw this university as a place where I could learn and build both in the classroom, as well as on the golf course.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete means representing both sides of being a Linfield Wildcat. In order to be a good athlete, you first have to thrive in the classroom. If you don't succeed in the classroom, you will never get the opportunity to showcase your ability on the court, the course, or the field.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has made me a better person because it has taught me perseverance and how to work well within a team. There are only a few individual sports, and even in those sports you are part of a team. The only way you can win in sports, is to rely on those around you.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I see myself working to become the CFO of a winery, either in Oregon or California.
WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
Public Speaking with Professor Soderberg. Growing up, I always hated public speaking, and I'd do anything to avoid it, but the way Soderberg stripped it down to its core and made it much more approachable makes me so much more comfortable about speaking in front of people now.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My father, easily. The integrity in which he goes about life, and the level of respect that he treats every single person he encounters makes me want to be a better version of myself.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN...
Patience is a virtue. When you allow the game to come to you instead of forcing yourself to find it, good things happen.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE...
To bring the Northwest Conference trophy back to McMinnville.
