Linfield prepares for Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound

THE RECORDS
Having recorded clean sheets in four of its past five matches, Linfield (5-4-4, 3-4-2 NWC) finds itself tied for fourth place in the NWC table with 11 points. Last weekend, the Wildcats showed diligence in a defensive 0-0 draw with George Fox, then played Willamette on the road and came away with a 1-0 loss after a second half goal by the Bearcats. Linfield looks to get back in the win column with two weekend home games against Pacific Lutheran (8-1-3, 7-0-1 NWC) and Puget Sound (4-4-4, 4-1-3).

LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats boast an impressive 5-0-3 home record thanks to six clean sheets at the Linfield Soccer Complex by goalkeeper Alexa Fritz. The junior from Bend, Oregon ranks sixth in the NWC with 34 saves on the season. Julia Alvarez remains the driving force behind Linfield's offense with team highs in goals (3) and shots (31). Mia Curtaz has impressed with her distribution this season, tallying three assists.

PACIFIC LUTHERAN AT A GLANCE
The Lutes top spot in the standings is in large part thanks to their offense, which is spearheaded by Hannah Cecil, who has registered six goals, while Julia Causbie and Bella Hanna support the attack with four goals each. Cecil's six goals place her second in the conference, with her 48 shots also securing her the runner-up spot in that category. Goalkeeper Abby Winkler sits at 49 saves in 12 matches played.

PUGET SOUND AT A GLANCE
Puget Sound find themselves in second place in the NWC standings thanks to a balanced effort both on the attack and on the defense. The Loggers rank third in the conference in shots per game 12.5. Leila Hausia-Haugen leads the way with a team-high six goals to go along with 22 shots. Kya Scott and Zoe Witter top the stats in shots, both recording 23. Goalkeeper Gianna Maldonado ranks fifth in the NWC with 40 saves and a .784 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY
Linfield trails the all-time series against Pacific Lutheran 23-32-3 but hold a 15-13-2 record in matches played at home. The Wildcats look to end a seven match losing streak to the Lutes.

In 57 matches, the Wildcats trail Puget Sound 5-45-7. The last Linfield victory came in 2017 in Tacoma. The 'Cats look to avenge a 2-0 loss to the Loggers earlier this season.
