McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Four Linfield players finished in double figures led by
Joshua Ryan's 15 points as the Wildcats beat Pacific 64-59 in Ted Wilson Gymnasium on Friday night. The Wildcats' victory is their first in Northwest Conference play.
Jackson Dupree tallied a 12-point and 10-rebound double-double while
Garrett Callsen also finished with a double-double totaling 10 points and 14 rebounds.
Chase Bennett chipped in 12 points. Linfield shot 45 percent on 42 attempts and knocked down 5-15 shots from behind the arc.
Lucas Winkler finished with a game-high 21 points while Jake Blazona was the only other Pacific player in double figures. The Boxers (8-8, 2-5 NWC) shot 27 percent on 73 shot attempts and made 7-29 three-point attempts.
Dupree's 10 points led all scorers in the first half but Pacific held a slim 31-29 lead at the end of the first half. Linfield outshot the Boxers from the field, 47 percent compared to 33. Winkler, Devin Fortune and Truman Young each totaled six points for Pacific at halftime.
The 'Cats climbed in front in the second half and led by as much as 10. The Boxers clawed back within three in the final minutes but clutch free throws from
Jack Greenwood sealed the Wildcats' victory.
