Wildcats open two-match homestand

THE RECORDS
The Wildcats are riding high off a massive 6-0 win against Redlands to cap off their California road trip. The positive results against the Bulldogs moved Linfield's record to 1-0-1 following an opening season draw to Caltech. North Central comes to McMinnville with a 1-1 record while La Verne holds the same 1-1 record.
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The offense was clicking for the Wildcats during the first two matches. Junior Anna Dazey recorded the 14th hat trick in program history and currently leads the Northwest Conference in shots with 12.
 
Janae Lewis has fired the second-most shots in the NWC, getting a goal and an assist. Linfield averages 18.5 shots per match and defensively holds opponents to 10 shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Alexa Fritz has started both games, totaled 10 saves and posted a .909 save percentage.
 
NORTH CENTRAL AT A GLANCE
The Cardinals started out strong with a 4-0 win against St. Olaf College but were held in check in a 2-0 loss to Carleton College. The Cardinals average 15 shots and eight corner kicks per match. Forwards Elle Sutter and Sarah Andrey each have a goal and have combined for 13 shots. Goalkeeper Jordan Boyd holds a .778 save percentage with seven total saves.
 
LA VERNE AT A GLANCE
The Leopards are coming off a 3-0 loss to Pacific Lutheran following a 2-0 season-opening win against Soka. Midfielder Ana Preciado headlines the La Verne attack with a goal and three shots in the first two games. Carys Anderson is another threat in the Leopards midfield. She has taken five shots with two being on goal. La Verne has fired 22 shots over both contests, but over half have been near goal.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Linfield fell 2-1 last season in Naperville Ill., against North Central in the only previous matchup between the two schools.
 
The Wildcats last matchup against La Verne came in 2007, when they dominated 7-0 over the Leopards.
