The Linfield Cheer and Dance teams are hosting a special Young Cats Club session Friday/Saturday, Sept. 29-30, in association with the season-opening Wildcats football game versus Willamette.

The event is free, including admission to the football game for all kids, ages 5-12, and accompanying chaperones.

On Friday from 4 to 6 p.m., participants will learn and practice a simple cheer and dance routine before performing it live during the football game.

All kids will receive a free Young Cats Club t-shirt.
Â
FRIDAY: Participants should arrive at Ted Wilson Gym by 3:45 p.m. on Friday to begin learning the routine. The gym is located at Linfield Avenue and Lever Street on the Linfield campus.

SATURDAY: The football game kicks off at 1 p.m. Participants are advised to arrive early and enjoy the Streak Street activities prior to the game which begin at 11 a.m.

The purpose of the Young Cats Club program is to invite area youngsters to experience in person what it's like to interact with college student-athletes and attend a Linfield athletic event. The McMinnville office of True Private Wealth Advisors and Your Space Storage are again sponsoring the Young Cats Club series during the 2023-24 academic year.
