The Boxers dropped three of four games at Pacific Lutheran last week. Their doubleheader at George Fox on Monday was postponed. Samantha Petitt is the lone qualified player batting above .300 with a .367 average. She leads the team with 33 hits, 19 runs and 21 walks. Rylee Patton has seven doubles and 17 RBI. Mia Barrozo is 4-9 in 18 appearances and 16 starts in the circle. She owns a 4.31 ERA with 39 strikeouts.
HISTORY
Linfield is 81-17 in 98 meetings with Whitworth. That record includes a 32-5 mark against the Pirates on the road. The 'Cats are riding an eight-game win streak against the Pirates. They swept the season series in 2022 and then won again by mercy rule in the opening round of the NWC Tournament at Del Smith Stadium.
