Loggers, Pioneers, Senior Night up next for Wildcats

COVERAGE
Joe Stuart will be on the road in Tacoma to cover play-by-play duties for the Linfield Sports Network. Live audio coverage for Linfield's doubleheader with Puget Sound will be available along with links to the Loggers' live video and stats feeds.
 
The LSN will cover Saturday's action from Ted Wilson Gymnasium with live video and stats as the Wildcats take on Lewis & Clark. The live stream will feature the Senior Night program.
 
THE RECORDS
Linfield meets Lewis & Clark in a matchup that could affect the Northwest Conference Championships field. Both teams enter the week with 6-6 records in NWC play. The Wildcats are 9-12 overall while the Pioneers are 12-9. The 'Cats will take on Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington, to open the week. The Loggers are in third place at 15-6 overall with an 8-4 NWC mark.
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats opened last week with a 90-73 win at Willamette to claim their fourth straight NWC win. They closed the week with a one-point loss at Pacific Lutheran. Seniors Reece Gibb and Alex Jaczko both dropped 20 points against the Bearcats. Sophomore Trey Bryant turned in a double-double in each game, putting up 17 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against the Bearcats before finishing with 10 points and as many assists against the Lutes. Along with Gibb and Jaczko, the 'Cats will also honor Carson Bonine, Mikey Hinkle, Jacob Hjort and Jack Stallard on Senior Night.
 
PUGET SOUND AT A GLANCE
The Loggers went 2-0 last week and won four of their last five games. Grant Erickson was named the NWC Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week on Monday after scoring a career-high 22 points against Willamette before turning in a double-double against George Fox. Mussie Teclemariam's 14 points per game rank 11th in the NWC while his 6.5 rebounds per game are third. Liam Ruttledge is averaging 12.9 points per game. Taj Phillips eclipsed the century mark for assists this season, entering the week with 107.
 
LEWIS & CLARK AT A GLANCE
The Pioneers moved into a tie with the Wildcats for fourth place in the NWC standings following losses to Whitman and Whitworth last week. They have the league's leading scorer on their team in Brenden Patrick, who's scoring 20.8 points per game. He also ranks in the NWC's top five in field goal percentage, assists and steals. Jack Henderson isn't to be overlooked. He's third in the NWC with 18.3 points per game and leads the Pios with 5.5 rebounds per game. Henderson has been elite from three-point range, shooting 41.4 percent from beyond the arc to lead the conference with 3.6 threes per game.
 
HISTORY
Linfield is 22-32 in the all-time series with Puget Sound. Seven of those wins were on the road. While the Loggers lead the series, the Wildcats are 7-3 in the last 10 matchups. The 'Cats were riding a four-game win streak before the Loggers took a 76-71 contest in McMinnville in the first meeting of the season.
 
Linfield has played Lewis & Clark 112 times, winning 51 of those games. The Wildcats are averaging 79.5 points per game in the series. The 'Cats won nine of the last 11 meetings, but the Pios took the first meeting of the season, winning 70-67 at home on Jan. 13 on a three-pointer by Nikko Echalas with less than a second left on the clock.
