Winter weather has forced adjustment to the Linfield women's lacrosse schedule.

The Wildcats were scheduled to begin the 2023 season with a Northwest Conference match against Whitman in Walla Walla, Washington, on Saturday. But with a fresh blanket of snow covering the Whitman sports fields, Saturday's contest has been moved to Whitworth University in Spokane.

Linfield will now play Whitman on Saturday at 11 a.m. on the Whtiworth campus. On Sunday, the Wildcats face Whitworth on the same field starting at 1:30 p.m.

Whitworth has an artificial turf field, while Whitman does not, and Whitworth also has snow-clearing equipment available. Temperatures are expected to remain brisk, hovering between 30 and 40 degrees both days.
