McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield wanted to send its seven seniors off with a high note on Sunday afternoon at the Linfield Soccer Complex. The Wildcats' three goals in the first half guided them to a 3-2 victory over visiting Puget Sound. Linfield's victory was the first win against Puget Sound since 2010. The Wildcats also finished the season with their highest Northwest Conference win total since 2015.

Brady Anderson all same time in potentially their final games as Wildcats.
The 'Cats (5-12-3, 5-9-2) finished with 13 shots, nine on goal, four corner kicks and 14 fouls.
Colby Reese tallied four saves.
Sam Haynes,
Ross Vargo and
Alberto Gallegos all accounted for a goal. Kosaris totaled two assists with
Cameron Gaines also getting an assist.
The Wildcats were explosive in the first half scoring two goals from Gallegos and Haynes in the first 35 minutes. The Loggers sliced the lead to one with Pema Globus scoring in the final minute before the half.
A few moments later, Vargo scored off a Kosaris cross to push the Wildcats lead back up to 3-1 at halftime.
The heavy rain weighed on both squads in the second half slowing down the tempo significantly. The Loggers scored their second goal off the foot of Rhys Foote in the 78th minute.
The final 12 minutes were tense and physical, but the Wildcats held on for the win.
Puget Sound (8-5-5, 6-5-5) finished with 10 shots, six on goal, eight corner kicks and 11 fouls. Ryan Saunders tallied BLANK saves. Ryan Saunders had six saves.
Both teams combined for six yellow cards.
