Men 15th, Torres Bermudez 23rd at West Regionals

LA VERNE, Calif. – The Linfield men's cross country team placed 15th Saturday morning at the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships on the Riverside Cross Country Course, marking the program's highest regional finish since 2016. Racing as an individual, Jennifer Torres Bermudez represented the Linfield women's squad, finishing 23rd overall.
 
Thirty men's cross country programs, including 23 full teams, competed in the men's eight-kilometer course. A total of 29 schools were represented in the women's race.
 
MEN
Making their first regional championship-meet appearance since 2017, the Wildcats totaled 434 points to claim 15th place. Linfield slotted three runners among the leading 100 finishers.'
 
Bradley Kiltow continued his late-season tear, placing 50th in a field of 171 runners in 26 minutes, 4.1 seconds.
 
Alex Oathout clocked 26:23.2 to claim 61st place while Calvin Cahill was 94th in 26:59.8.
 
Freshman Emil Miller ended 117th in 27:21.5, Devin Harrison took 137th in 28:06.4, Kai Szostak was 149th in 28:48.4, and Conner Dooley took 153rd in 29:06.0.
 
WOMEN
In her second West Regional meet appearance, Torres Bermudez 23rd of 165 racers (23:11.8). The high finish earned the Linfield senior All-West Region honors.
