Willamette currently occupies that fourth and final playoff spot at 11-8 overall and 6-4 in NWC play. Pacific Lutheran (1-18, 1-9 NWC) is one of two teams at the bottom of the standings.

The Bearcats went on the road and beat two Oregon opponents last week, taking down George Fox and Lewis & Clark to stay in the postseason picture. They're led by Megan River (11.4 PPG) and Carolyn Ho (11.1 PPG), both of whom are scoring more than 11 points per game. Ashlyn Ascuena-Mercil is scoring 6.8 points per game and is tied with Landis with 7.7 rebounds per game. Kaitlin Imai is shooting 84.1 percent from the charity stripe, good for the No. 2 spot in the NWC rankings.
PACIFIC LUTHERAN AT A GLANCE
The Lutes are fifth in the NWC with a 37.1 team field goal percentage while also ranking fourth in three-point percentage at 28.2. Their lone NWC win came against Lewis & Clark on Jan. 14. Three players are averaging 10 points per game or better. Ava Edmonds enters the week at 10.8 points and 7.4 rebounds per game to lead the team. Ashley Akamine is scoring 10.5 points per game while Sydney Reisner is right at the 10 points per game mark.
HISTORY
Linfield holds a narrow lead in the all-time series with Willamette, posting a 41-38 record against the Bearcats. The Wildcats and Bearcats sit at an even 37-37 record in NWC matchups. The Bearcats won six of the last 10 meetings, but the Wildcats took this year's first-round affair by a score of 66-51 on Jan. 3 at Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
Linfield owns a 27-50 all-time record against Pacific Lutheran. The Lutes won 30 straight games between the 1995-96 and 2009-10 seasons. Since that dry spell, the Wildcats have won 14 of the last 19 meetings. The 'Cats took the first meeting of the year, winning 74-63 on Jan. 6 in McMinnville.
