Wildcats ready for Round 2 with Boxers, Bruins

GAME PREVIEWS

THE RECORDS
Linfield is 6-11 overall with a 3-5 Northwest Conference mark as the Wildcats enter the second half of the NWC slate. Pacific enters the matchup at 9-9 overall and 4-5 in NWC play. Like the Wildcats, George Fox also has a 3-5 NWC record and is 4-13 overall.

LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
Linfield got back in the win column last week with an 86-79 victory over Whitworth to sink the Pirates into second place in the NWC standings. The Wildcats shot 49.3 percent from the field and went 11 for 23 from three-point range in the win. They opened the week by falling short in a non-conference loss to Illinois Wesleyan on Monday.

The 'Cats rank fourth in the NWC with 72.1 points allowed per game. Trey Bryant's 14.3 points, 5.1 assists and 2.4 steals per game all rank in the conference's top 10. Carson Bonine is averaging just under double figures with 9.4 points per game while leading the team with 37 three-pointers.

PACIFIC AT A GLANCE
The Boxers are looking to bounce back from three straight losses to George Fox, Pacific Lutheran and Lewis & Clark. They're allowing 81.7 points per game but make up for it with a conference-leading 84.3 points per game. Three players are averaging double figures. They're led by 15.1 points per game from Jacob Bolger and 14.2 from Truman Young. Bolger is also averaging 5.7 rebounds per game. Lucas Winkler's 7.9 assists per game lead the NWC, and his 6.4 rebounds per game are tied for fourth.

GEORGE FOX AT A GLANCE
George Fox also took on Illinois Wesleyan this week, falling to the Titans by a score of 77-65 at home. The Bruins have relied on the three-point shot this season, shooting 37.5 percent from beyond the arc to rank second in the NWC while also ranking third with 10.1 three-pointers per game. Momo Stokes' 15.4 points per game are good for No. 4 in the NWC. Davon Walker has been the No. 2 scoring option so far, averaging 12 points per game with 49 assists. Chris Nickelberry's 65 assists and 40 steals both rank in the league's top 10.
