Linfield, Warner Pacific settle for 0-0 tie in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Linfield women's soccer team outshot Warner Pacific 12-2, but neither team could find the net in a scoreless tie Saturday afternoon at the Eastside Timbers Complex.

The Wildcats put five shots on goal while limiting the Knights to just one. Sophomores Anna Dazey and Sidra Griffin had two shots on goal apiece. Senior Laney Green, junior Riley Omonaka and freshman Ruby Lacktrup also fired off a pair of shots.

Brenna Smith and Kassidie Bukoski registered WPU's two shots. Smith's was on goal. Katie Pomerinke, Brin Wolvert, Sophie Painter and Payton Ashley all played the full 90 minutes.

Linfield defenders, senior Megan Sweeney and freshman Bella Hanna played the full 90 minutes along with sophomore goalkeeper Emilee Miller, who was successful in making a save on the only shot on goal by the Knights.

Due to a recent NCAA ruling, no overtime or penalty kicks will be played in regular season matches in 2022.
