PORTLAND, Ore. – The Linfield women's soccer team outshot Warner Pacific 12-2, but neither team could find the net in a scoreless tie Saturday afternoon at the Eastside Timbers Complex.
The Wildcats put five shots on goal while limiting the Knights to just one. Sophomores

Sidra Griffin had two shots on goal apiece. Senior

Ruby Lacktrup also fired off a pair of shots.
Brenna Smith and Kassidie Bukoski registered WPU's two shots. Smith's was on goal. Katie Pomerinke, Brin Wolvert, Sophie Painter and Payton Ashley all played the full 90 minutes.

Emilee Miller, who was successful in making a save on the only shot on goal by the Knights.
Due to a recent NCAA ruling, no overtime or penalty kicks will be played in regular season matches in 2022.

The 'Cats (1-0-1) make the long trip to Naperville, Illinois, on Sept. 9-10 to take on host North Central and either Grove City or Centre, respectively. Northwest Conference play begins on Sept. 17-18 with a tough Tacoma trip against Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran, the top two teams in 2021.
