The Linfield Wildcats await word on their NCAA Division III playoff destination. The NCAA will reveal the full 62-team field today, May 9, on a live selection show at 10 a.m. PDT on NCAA.com.

Linfield players, coaches and fans will learn where the Wildcats will be competing when the regional playoffs begin on Friday, May 13. The Wildcats qualified for the NCAA postseason after winning the Northwest Conference Tournament two weeks ago.

The most recent NCAA regional rankings, released May 2, show Linfield rated fourth in Region X. The Region X rankings include, in descending order, Texas Lutheran, Belhaven, East Texas Baptist, LInfield, Mary Hardin-Baylor, George Fox and La Verne.

Regional rankings are one of several criteria used to objectively evaluate and rank teams for possible playoff inclusion and siting.

Linfield is ranked No. 7 in the most recent NFCA Top 25 poll, however, those rankings bear no weight in the playoff selection process.

The tournament field includes 15 four-team regional tournaments and one two-team regional.
