WALLA WALLA, Wash. – In the first half of Northwest Conference play, Linfield claimed a 2-1 win over Whitman at home. The Blues evened the season series on Sunday, winning a 1-0 contest at the Whitman Athletic Fields.
Linfield was outshooting Whitman 5-3 in the first half before Elizabeth Williams notched her first goal of the season in the 41
st minute, assisted by Neftali Segovia-Cruz. Williams put both of her shots in the match on goal. Ella Johnson also had two shots and a shot on goal in 22 minutes off the bench.
The Wildcats (11) fired off five more shots than the Blues (6), putting seven shots on goal. The 'Cats also held a 10-4 advantage in corner kicks. But Hannah Hagler made six saves to preserve a shutout for the home team.
Laney Green was the only Linfield player with more than one shot. She played 56 minutes, tallying five shots, three on goal. Green's seven goals on the year are tied for sixth in the NWC. She had two-goal performances against Lewis & Clark on Sept. 25 and Whitman on Oct. 9.

Kathryn Pearson played the full 90 minutes while
Riley Omonaka played 77.
Alexa Fritz made four saves in goal. After taking over goalkeeper duties in early October, the freshman went 3-3-3 with 53 saves, an .841 save percentage and a 1.11 goals against average.
The 'Cats ended the season at 5-8-7 overall with a 3-7-6 record in NWC play. They finished in sixth place with 15 points, five more than they had a season ago.
