Wildcats host Loggers, Lutes to end five-match homestand

THE RECORDS
Linfield opens the second half of Northwest Conference play at 3-5-4 overall with a 1-4-3 NWC mark. Puget Sound enters the week atop the standings with a 7-1 conference record (10-2 overall). Pacific Lutheran is in second place with a 6-1-1 record in NWC play (9-1-2 overall).
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats are fresh off their first NWC win after a 2-1 home victory over Whitman. Laney Green notched two goals in the win, extending her team lead to six goals, which rank tied for fourth in the NWC. Janae Lewis and Ruby Lacktrup are tied for second on the team with three goals. Lewis and Riley Omonaka lead the 'Cats and are tied for fifth in the NWC with three assists each. Alexa Fritz made her first collegiate appearance in goal against the Blues, making four saves to earn her first win. 
 
PUGET SOUND AT A GLANCE
Puget Sound was among others receiving votes in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. The Loggers have won six straight matches, including a 3-0 win over Willamette and a 6-0 rout of Pacific last week. They are outscoring their opponents 26-6 this season. Ava Cholakian is second in the NWC with 13 goals and 26 points. Tess Carden and Layla Santos are tied for the NWC lead with four assists. Chaylea Tome owns a 0.51 goals against average and leads the NWC with seven shutouts.

PACIFIC LUTHERAN AT A GLANCE
The Lutes are tied for first in the NWC with 32 goals while also ranking second with 15 shots per match. Much of the attack has depended on Julia Causbie and Hannah Cecil. Causbie is third in the NWC with seven goals to go with two assists. Cecil has six goals on a team-leading 34 shots, 17 on goal. Lily Dose leads the team with three assists. Shaylin Cesar's .857 save percentage leads the NWC. She's 8-1-2 in goal with five shutouts, 36 saves and a 0.56 goals against average.

HISTORY
Linfield is 5-43-5 in the all-time series with Puget Sound. Three of those wins came in McMinnville. The 'Cats are looking for their first win over the Loggers since 2017. The Loggers took the first meeting of the season by a score of 3-0 on Sept. 17 in Tacoma.

Linfield and Pacific Lutheran have met 54 times. The 'Cats are 23-28-3 in those matches. The 'Cats own a winning record of 15-11-2 against the Lutes at home. The last win over the Lutes came in 2019. The Lutes won 3-0 on Sept. 18 in Tacoma in the first matchup of the season.
