MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – Leading from the opening tip-off to the final whistle, the Linfield Wildcats won their sixth straight game on Friday night, beating the George Fox Bruins by a score of 91-79 at Ted Wilson Gym.
After dropping the first game of the season to the Bruins, the Wildcats have not lost since and now stand at 6-1 on the season and 4-1 in the Northwest Conference. The Bruins are now 2-8 overall and 1-4 in the conference. A win on Saturday secures the season series for the Wildcats.
Four of the five starters were in double figures for the Wildcats.
Dempsey Roggenbuck led the team once again in scoring, he had 22 points and three assists on Friday night.
"Dempsey was blanketed all night and still found a way to be efficient and effective," said coach
Shanan Rosenberg. "His defense was excellent."
Aaron Baune had 19 points, 12 rebounds and four assists, he also had two blocks.
Matt Berger had six points and 10 rebounds.

Max Lommen had 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.
Will Burghardt had 14 points, four rebounds, four assists. "Carson and Max were great on defense as well," said Rosenberg.
Linfield shot 47.8 percent from the field and led by as much as 17 in the second half. Every player that appeared in the game, scored at least a point for Linfield, including
Nick Tripaldi, who made his college debut.
"It wasn't our best overall offensive game, but we did a great job rebounding, playing half-court defense and taking care of the ball," added Rosenberg. "We have to rest up and try and close out our series with George Fox on the road tomorrow."
Alex Jaczko had eight points,
Carson Bonine had three as did
Kellen George, who also had four rebounds in the affair.
"Off the bench,
Alex Jaczko and
Kellen George were awesome for us and really gave us quality minutes," concluded Rosenberg.
The Bruins' Ryan Lacey and James Moore had 16 points each. Moore came off the bench. JD Ahlstrom had 10 points and five rebounds. Brendan Ritschard had six points and eight rebounds. Kalu Stricklin had nine points and four rebounds. Jackson Januik had six rebounds.
George Fox trimmed Linfield's lead to five by making the first shot of the second half, a 3-pointer from Ryan Lacey. That was the smallest lead of the second half for Linfield.
