The Linfield women's lacrosse team has won four straight contests and plays its final two home matches this weekend against Willamette. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

LINFIELD
The Wildcats are averaging 14 goals per match. They are 4-2 while play a Northwest Conference-only schedule. Last week against Pacific, Linfield won by the scores of 17-4 and 13-8, respectively.
Bethany Shade has been honored as the conference's Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week each of the past two weeks. She leads the NWC with 19 caused turnovers and 63 draw controls. She has 18 goals and seven assists, both rank among the top-five in the NWC.
Maia Rezoski has 18 goals and seven assists as well. Rezoski leads the conference with 21 ground balls.
Josie Duey has 22 points (16 goals, six assists) and
Jenna Hessel has 19 points (15 points and four assists). Defender
Gemmajean Patterson caused three turnovers last week and has eight on the season to rank seventh in the NWC. Goalkeeper
Epi Roldan-Rayo has made 32 saves. She and
Lizzy Harms have split time in net each of the last four matches.
The only two meetings of the series came in 2019 with Linfield winning both. The 'Cat prevailed 18-6 in Salem and 18-3 in McMinnville.
WILLAMETTE
The Bearcats women's lacrosse team is in just its year season of existence, but has steadily improved each season. Willamette was 2-0 in Northwest Conference play during the abbreviated 2020 season and are 2-2 in NWC play this spring.
Catie Kawamura has 13 goals and Anabel Ohsman has seven assists. Maddie Garcia has 17 goals, which is sixth in the NWC. Emma Canchola has 19 ground balls, fifth in the NWC, and Kawamura has claimed 22 draw controls.
The Northwest Conference's leader in saves is Shelby Sawyer with 48. She has registered a save percentage of 53.9.
