PORTLAND, Ore. – On Friday afternoon at C.C. Perry Gym, the Linfield Wildcats fell 73-67 to the Warner Pacific Knights.
The Wildcats are now 0-3 overall while the Knights improve to 3-3 on the season, both teams meet again on Saturday.
Knights led by eight at halftime and 12 after three quarters. Linfield closed out the game on a 9-2 run. Wildcats outscored the Knights, 26-21 in the fourth.
Delaney Ragan led Linfield in scoring with 18 points, she also had two rebounds and two assists.
Shasta Lofgren had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, she also had three assists.
Brooke Landis had 11 points and two assists.
Paige LaFountain had four points and six rebounds.
Maggie Smith and
Alaina Clark had six points each off the bench. Smith was 2 for 3 from beyond-the-arc. Landis was 3 for 5. Ragan was a perfect 6 for 6 from the free-throw line.
Ragan and Landis had three steals each, Lofgren had three. Linfield shot 43.3 percent from the field and missed seven free-throw attempts.
Warner Pacific's Gabriella Bruno shot 11 for 19 from the field and scored 25 points, she also had eight rebounds. No other Knight scored in double figures. Nicole Mickelson had nine points and six rebounds.
