PORTLAND, Ore. – Hitting a program record 20 three-pointers, the Linfield Wildcats coasted to a 112-78 win over the Warner Pacific Knights at C.C. Perry Gym on Friday afternoon.
The Wildcats have won their second game in a row and move to 2-1 overall. The Knights fall to 1-3.
"The team was very focused today, they did a great job preparing this week, not to mention the 3-point shooting was phenomenal," said coach
Shanan Rosenberg.
Through the first 12 minutes, Linfield led 26-18.
Dempsey Roggenbuck had nine points and
Aaron Baune had 10. In the game, Baune had 19 points, six rebounds. Roggenbuck had 33 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Roggenbuck was two points shy of his career high.
"It was great to see so many of our guys play well and contribute. Dempsey kept in stride making a number of high-level plays beyond his gift for scoring that made everyone around him better," added Rosenberg.

Will Burghardt contributed in multiple ways as they usually do as terrific team players and potent scorers."
Leading by 21 at the break, the Wildcats outscored the Knights, 58-45 in the second half.
Carson Bonine had 11 points, four rebounds and three assists off the bench.
Will Burghardt had 11 points and four assists.
Max Lommen had six assists.
Jackson Dupree was tied for the team lead with six rebounds.
Wildcats shot 52.6 percent from beyond the three-point line. Baune made five, Roggenbuck, Burghardt and Bonine hit three each. Linfield surpassed the previous record of 19 three-pointers with 20 on Friday. The previous high came on December 12, 2018 against New Hope Christian.
Every player on the active roster made an appearance for the Wildcats. From the field, the Wildcats shot 58.6 percent.

Kellen George gave us a real boost off the bench and their teammates all followed suit. All of our freshmen and sophomores did a terrific job today," said Rosenberg.
Kaleb Tompkins led the Knights with 21 points. Christian Hodge had 11 rebounds off the bench. Drew Magaoy was the team's assists leader with five. Knights shot 39.1 percent from the field.
"Warner Pacific will be highly motivated for tomorrow night's game, so we need to stay humble, hungry and keep continuing to play the best version of Linfield Basketball," concluded Rosenberg.
