The heart of the Northwest Conference schedule begins this weekend in Spokane, Washington, for the Linfield women's lacrosse team when the Wildcats take on Whitworth. The Wildcats and the Pirates play single matches on Saturday and Sunday with the first draw control both days coming at 1 p.m.

THE WILDCATS
Linfield made its season debut two weeks ago against George Fox. The Wildcats are 0-2 thus far.
Bethany Shade leads the team with four goals and one assist.
Maia Rezoski also has five points, including three goals and two assists.
Epi Roldan-Rayo has played every minute in goal and made 21 saves. Rezoski is the team leader with nine ground balls. Shade ranks first with 16 draw controls and six caused turnovers.
The Wildcats are 3-0 against the Pirates since Whitworth launched its women's lacrosse program in 2019, winning by an average margin of 12.6 goals. The two teams did meet in the shortened 2020 season last spring. Linfield won the match 16-9 behind five points each from

THE PIRATES
Under coach Noelle Brouillard, the Pirates begin their third season of existence this weekend against the 'Cats. Whitworth went 1-2 in the short season last year, winning 19-5 over Whitman.
Carcie Chappell and Kylee Walker return for the Pirates. Both were second on the team with six points in three matches last season. Madison Gotthardt returns in goal. She made 25 saves in the shortened 2020 season while posting a save percentage of .385.
