Wildcats close season against Bearcats in Salem

THE RECORDS
Linfield enters the final week of Northwest Conference play with a 1-14-2 overall record and a 0-11-2 conference mark. Willamette sits in second place in the standings at 11-4-1 overall and 9-3-1 in NWC play.
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats dropped a pair of hard-fought matches at home last week, losing 2-1 to Whitworth in double overtime before losing 1-0 to Whitman on Senior Day. Freshman midfielder Seamus Miller is the team's leading scorer with five goals. He leads the Northwest Conference with 3.70 shots per game. Seniors Cesar Cruz-Espindola and Romario Mendoza have two goals and one assist apiece. Freshman defender Patrick Moes leads the Wildcats with 1,416 minutes played while sophomore midfielder Logan Clizer is second on the team with 1,233 minutes.
 
WILLAMETTE AT A GLANCE
The Bearcats are fresh off a 3-0 shutout of Whitworth on Sunday. They rank third in the Northwest Conference with 32 goals, 22 assists and 86 points. Sean Kim leads the team and is tied for fifth in the NWC with six goals to go with three assists. Mack van der Velde has five goals and a pair of assists while Pierce Gallaway has four goals. Pierluca Carnovale is 10-4-1 in goal with four shutouts, a .763 save percentage and a 1.22 goals against average, which ranks fourth in the conference.
 
THE SERIES
Linfield and Willamette have met 55 times. The Wildcats hold on to a slim lead in the series with a 27-26-2 record. The Wildcats are 15-13-1 in Salem, but the Bearcats are 8-1-1 in the last 10 matchups. The Bearcats won the first meeting of the season, 4-0, on Oct. 9 in McMinnville.
