The Bearcats are second in the Northwest Conference with a 1.22 goals against average and fourth with 1.78 goals and 1.22 assists per game. Senior Max Berner-Hays leads the Bearcats with three goals and eight points while fellow senior Ryan Sato is the team leader with three assists and 16 shots. Sophomore Pierluca Carnovale is 5-3-0 in goal with 29 saves, two shutouts and a 1.39 goals against average, which ranks third in the NWC.
THE SERIES
Linfield and Willamette have met 54 times with the Wildcats leading the series with a 27-25-2 record. The Wildcats are 11-12-1 against the Bearcats at home. The Bearcats won all three matchups in the abbreviated spring season, winning by scores of 7-0, 1-0 and 6-1.
LINFIELD COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
All individuals (age 12 and over) entering any athletics venue must provide proof of vaccination along with photo identification. Since all Linfield faculty, staff and students have completed this task in order to be on campus this fall, the Linfield individual must simply show their current Linfield ID.
Masks must be worn by all spectators at all times. Participants, including players, coaches, support staff and media on the sidelines, must wear masks throughout the duration of all athletic events, both indoor and outdoor, and during pregame and postgame activities.
