SPOKANE, Wash. – The Linfield volleyball team took over the opening set, but Whitworth took over the match in a four-set win over the Wildcats on Friday night at Whitworth Fieldhouse.
The 'Cats opened the match with a 25-17 win in the first set. The Pirates settled in after that, winning the following three sets by scores of 25-11, 25-17 and 25-17. The Pirates racked up 43 kills on a .132 hitting percentage.
Whitworth's Madison Lee finished with a match-high 16 kills with a .143 hitting percentage and 12 digs. Cassidy Franklin had seven kills and a .235 hitting percentage while Jaye Hodge had six kills and eight digs. Eva Millan registered a match-high 19 digs.
Junior outside hitter
Raelynn Hammock led Linfield offensively with 15 kills to go with three aces and 13 digs. She reached double digits in kills for the ninth straight match. Hammock ranks fourth in the Northwest Conference with 3.48 kills per set. Senior

Maya Nakasone had a team-high 15 digs.
