'Cats can gain ground in standings against Boxers, Bruins

THE RECORDS
Linfield enters the week with a 1-11-1 overall record and a 0-8-1 Northwest Conference mark. Pacific enters at 6-7-1 on the season with a 3-5-1 NWC record while George Fox is 4-9-0 overall and 2-7-0 in NWC play. The Boxers are sixth in the conference standings while the Bruins are seventh and the Wildcats are eighth.

The Wildcats are averaging 0.69 goals per game and lead the Northwest Conference with 6.93 saves per game. Freshman midfielder Seamus Miller leads the team with three goals and six points and ranks fifth in the NWC with 2.57 shots per game. Freshman Zachary Aderinto has started 13 matches in goal. He owns a 5-5-1 record and ranks fifth with a 1.63 goals against average.
 
GEORGE FOX AT A GLANCE
The Bruins have dropped four straight matches and are seventh in the Northwest Conference with 1.15 goals per game. Freshman Alan Rincon is the team's leading scorer with four goals while fellow freshman Joshua Chang has three. Freshman Connor Kong has two goals on the season, both game-winners. Senior Alex Muir is 4-7-0 in goal this season and is fourth in the NWC with 3.64 saves per game.
 
HISTORY
Pacific leads the 56-match series with a 29-22-5 record against Linfield. The Wildcats are 14-9-3 against the Boxers at home. The Boxers took the first meeting of the season, 2-0, on Sept. 26 in Forest Grove.
 
Linfield and George Fox have met 53 times with the Wildcats leading the series with a 31-19-3 record. The 'Cats are 18-8-1 in Newberg, but the Bruins won the first meeting of 2021, 2-1, on Sept. 25 in McMinnville.
