TACOMA, Wash. --- Traveling up to Washington to their last Northwest Conference game the Wildcats took on the Loggers of Puget Sound. Linfield closes out the season 11-5 overall and 10-2 in the NWC play with their victory over the Loggers 15-5.
FIRST HALF
Linfield started out the game with three-straight goals.
Nathaly Sanchez scored the first goal of the game followed by
Josie Duey and then
Bethany Shade. The Loggers cut the Wildcats lead to two goals, but Linfield answered with five-straight goals to close out the half. Duey picked up her second goal of the game while
Jenna Hessel,
Maia Rezoski and
Madison Hicks all found the back of the net as well. The Wildcats lead 8-1 at half time.
SECOND HALF
The Loggers got on the board first in the second half, but Hessel found the back of the net 40 second afterwards. Puget Sound recorded two more goals before
Gabriella Moe knotched her first goal of the game. The Loggers scored their last goal of the game with 18 minutes left to play in the game. Linfield answered with five straight goals to end the game.
Linfield totaled 35 shots 31 of them which were on goal.
Kylee Duey recorded six of the Wildcats ten saves in the first half.
Maia Rezoski scored a career high of four goals in the game.
