OLYMPIA, Wash.-
Grant Gibb and
Dempsey Roggenbuck combined for 40 points as the Linfield Wildcats defeated the Evergreen State Geoducks 95-82 Tuesday night. Both players were extremely efficient, with Gibb going 5 for 7 from the field and Roggenbuck going 6 for 8. Gibb was a perfect 7 for 7 at the free throw line to go along with eight rebounds.

Grant Gibb played the most complete game I've seen from him in a Linfield uniform. I was very pleased to see that happen for him. Dempsey would not be denied and really had a take-over stretch that separated the game in the first part of the second half."
With 12 minutes left in the first half, things were all square at 13 apiece before Linfield went on a 14-2 run. The 'Cats closed out the half strong to lead by 11 at the half.
In the second half, Linfield opened up shooting and had its lead grow to 24 with 13 minutes left to go. Two free throws by
Chase McClain with 2:25 remaining gave the Wildcats their largest lead of the evening at 27.
Sophomore
Aaron Baune only went 1 of 6 from the field but he didn't let that stop him from having an effect on the game. Baune attempted 12 free throws and hit 11 of them, finishing with 14 points to go with four assists.
Guard
Tanner Autencio had a well-rounded game with eight points, nine rebounds and four assists.
Will Burghardt had nine points and hit three triples, while turning the ball over just once.
Max Lommen also had eight points, hitting both of his three-point attempts.
Austin Hilton scored eight points and pulled down six rebounds, while also dishing out three assists.
Matt Berger added five boards to round out the center position.
"We rebounded the heck out of it tonight," said Rosenberg. "As a team, we really set our sights to improve that facet of our game and it showed."
Rosenberg was able to insert every player into the game. Freshman
Chase McClain scored five points from the free throw stripe. Fellow first-year players
Braden Thorne and
Reece Gibb also scored, with Gibb recording his first point as a Wildcat.
Anthony Grandberry was the high scorer for the Geoducks with 18 points in 10 minutes. Raven Frazier scored 14 points and added six assists in 24 minutes. Elijah Fuller contributed 13 points.
